About Voice of Land

14 countries. One village. A common future.

Voice of Land is the first European project of its kind, where contestants from 14 EU countries build a completely new village in Slovenia. Each of them builds one of the 14 houses with their own hands, under the guidance of architects, master builders and instructors. Together they form a new community – stone by stone, blister by blister.

The exterior of all houses follows the traditional architecture of Goriška Brda, while the interior will be designed in the style of the country that each contestant represents – thus, German, Greek, Polish, French, Dutch, Romanian, Spanish and other nationally colored houses will be created. Each will have its own character, but together they will form one village.

During the construction, the contestants will also design a sustainable, self-sufficient garden from which they will provide themselves with food. Each week will be dedicated to the cuisine of one country – one week will be Portuguese, the next Spanish, then French, and so on, through the flavors of the whole of Europe.

The show will also touch on the issue of stereotypes between nations:
Are Germans really still the most hardworking? Are Greeks really relaxed? Are Spaniards temperamental? Are Dutch people rational? Are Romanians more resilient? The show will show where prejudices are confirmed – and where they completely fall apart.

🛠️ Viewers will be able to follow:
  • How to build a house with your own hands – from the foundation to the roof,

  • How to establish a self-sufficient garden,

  • How real cooperation between nations takes place,

  • How culture, work and taste bring people together.

The VOL show will provide viewers with a realistic insight "from A to Z" into the entire process – no tricks, no shortcuts.

And as with Eurovision or the European Championship – viewers will cheer for their favorites, compare the approaches of their nations and experience personal stories from all over Europe.

Voice of Land is not just a show. It is the building of the future – live.

Each participant is building their own house by hand, guided by architects, master builders, and instructors — forming a real, functioning village in Slovenia.

All homes follow the traditional Goriška Brda exterior style, while each interior reflects the culture of the contestant’s home country.

Together, they also create a self-sufficient garden and cook weekly dishes based on different national cuisines — turning each week into a culinary celebration of Europe.

There are no eliminations. All stay. All build. All unite.

The Legacy

After filming, the village remains.

It becomes a living eco-tourism destination, a training hub, and a symbol of pan-European collaboration. The show’s impact doesn’t end on screen — it creates real infrastructure, jobs, and long-term value for the local community and beyond.

Who We Are

Voice of Land is led by a passionate team of creators, producers, volunteers, and experts from across Europe. What unites us is the belief that media can do more than entertain — it can mobilize, inspire, and rebuild.
